The overall project zukunft.bahnhof was co-initiated by the foundation of the same name. The foundation's assets are used to develop the project and renovate the listed "Bahnhalle". In the medium term, the entire project is intended to be self-sustaining.
The overall project is divided into five operational areas, each operating independently: housing, culture, gastronomy, impact lab, and foundation. These areas are supported by a small team that handles various cross-cutting tasks. The "coordination circle" ensures regular communication between the areas.
The foundation board enables the initial phase up to the renovation of the railway hall and advises and supports the overall project on strategic issues.

The overall structure of the project is defined on the basis of four levels.
A foundation was developed based on the DNA, on which the areas (Bereiche) are based and everything happens within the ecosystem.
As illustrated in the graphic below, the DNA should constantly flow into the ecosystem, and the ecosystem then influences the evolution of DNA in the long term.
