Creative residencies at the Stadtufer Residency Space

In our residency space at Stadtufer Lichtensteig (the former theatre of the Junge Bühne Toggenburg), we are creating new residency opportunities for professional performing artists across all disciplines. In the former spinning mill on the banks of the River Thur in Lichtensteig, we offer space for focused work, research, rehearsals, development and completion.

A large rehearsal room with a dance floor, theatre lighting and sound is available, as well as a residence apartment with space for up to 8 people.

Residencies typically last between 1 and 4 weeks. Stays are available in exchange for a public performance on site or for a flat fee covering cleaning and ancillary costs.

The residency programme is currently being established. Until a regular application process is introduced, we are allocating time slots in a straightforward and direct manner.
